so i was doing my typical Facebook surfing and came across this video that tons of people have watched and commented on so i decided to check it out .. and was shocked ...
Sara Kruzan: Sentenced to Life without Parole at age 16
w o w ...
i dont know how i feel honestly. one part of me says that she got too much time . . . i mean she was 16 years old, she was being abused, she came from no upbringing with an abusive mother, and she got raped and then got pimped out. thats pretty tough. on the other hand , no one has the right to take another persons life - REGARDLESS. to me, i feel like there is always a way out. altho i have never been in that type of situation so i dont know how easy it would be, but still. i feel like if you dont wanna do something like that anymore - you just stop.
i do think that judge took it a little too far. Dante Stallworth killed someone drunk driving last year in Miami and he got like 2 months in jail and then was right back out. people kill people every day and get less of a sentence then that. what the hell is life without parole - PLUS 4 years?! like really? is all that necessary?
i feel like she should be punished for thinking and carrying out a murder. but what she got is a little extreme. especially at the age of 16.
