In Houston 3 people a day are diagnosed with HIV ? mother of pearl .
i find this very interesting. and im kinda of 2 sided about it. on one hand, i feel like its a great discovery and it could save the lives of many people who are already diagnosed with HIV. the guy in the video has to take 9 pills a day. shit i dont even like to take motrin when i have a headache. i cant imagine taking 9 horse pills a day. gross.
on the other hand i feel like people may be more reckless now that they know that if they do get it, there is a cure for it. people have unprotected sex because they know if someone happens (preggo's) there is a "cure". people still have unprotected sex and take the risk of getting diseases but the majority of them have "cures". i feel like EVERY ONE is worried about HIV because they know it is fatal. getting herpes will not kill you. but as far as we know HIV will and that makes people cautious enough. i feel like if people know they can be given antibiotics or whatever the medicine will be, they will be a lot less cautious of who they have sex with and if they use protection.
i am looking forward to seeing if their treatment will work on humans. it has already worked in the labs and on animals so we will see about humans. and then i will look forward to seeing just how the world reacts to the discovery.
